About Best Plans Canada
Helping Canadians stop overpaying for plans
Best Plans Canada is an independent comparison service built to help Canadians find fair, transparent deals on their monthly plans – starting with home internet and mobile, and expanding into credit cards, banking, GICs, and insurance in the future.
Instead of spending hours on different websites, chat windows, and phone calls, you tell us what you need once. We then compare plans across providers and help you choose options that fit your budget, speed, and location.
Our mission
Make it easy for every household in Canada to understand their options and stop overpaying for plans.
That means:
- Showing you clear, plain-language comparisons
- Highlighting both big brands and smaller providers where they make sense
- Being transparent about how we make money
- Putting your needs first, not a single provider’s sales target
How Best Plans Canada works
Use a 3-step layout (3 columns or numbered list):
Step 1 – Tell us what you need
Fill in a short form with your postal code, current provider, budget, and priorities (speed, price, reliability, bundles, etc.).
Step 2 – We compare plans for your address
We check plans and promos available in your area, using publicly available information and offers from our partners. For internet, that includes key providers like Bell, Rogers, TELUS, Cogeco, and independent ISPs, depending on the city.
Step 3 – You choose, we help you switch
We send you shortlisted options that match your needs. When you’re ready, we help you connect with the provider or partner offering that deal. In many cases, there’s no extra cost for you compared to going directly to the provider.
How Best Plans Canada makes money
In many cases, we’re paid a referral fee or commission by providers or partners when you decide to switch or sign up through us.
Important points:
You don’t pay extra for using Best Plans Canada
We never charge you for a quote or for asking questions
Our goal is to recommend plans that are genuinely a good fit, not just whatever pays the highest commission
As we grow, we’ll expand into comparing credit cards, bank accounts, GICs, investments, and insurance products. The same rule will apply: clear comparisons, transparent model.
Why we’re building Best Plans Canada
Best Plans Canada grew out of years of working directly with Canadian households and small businesses, helping them sign up for internet, TV, and mobile services through in-store events and kiosks.
We saw the same problems again and again:
People weren’t sure if they were overpaying
Promo prices ended and bills quietly went up
Many didn’t know smaller or regional providers even existed in their area
Comparing plans across multiple providers was confusing and time-consuming
This platform is designed to fix that: a simple, human-supported comparison service that respects your time and money.
Our long-term vision
We’re starting with home internet and mobile plans in Canada, but the long-term vision is bigger:
Compare top financial products (credit cards, GICs, banking packages)
Help you find better insurance options (home, auto, travel, etc.)
Provide plain-language guides that explain fees, fine print, and trade-offs
Become a trusted place Canadians visit before they sign any new contract
Step by step, we’re building a platform where you can compare the plans that actually matter in your life – all in one place.
Where we operate today
Right now, we focus on helping customers across Ontario, with detailed comparison pages for major cities in the GTA and surrounding areas.
Even if your city isn’t listed yet, you can still fill out our form – we’ll check what’s available at your postal code and get back to you with our best findings.
Ready to find your best plan?
If you’re not sure whether you’re overpaying for internet or mobile, or you just want to see what else is out there, send us a few details and we’ll do the legwork.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are you owned by any internet or mobile provider?
No. Best Plans Canada is independent and not owned by any ISP or phone carrier. That independence is what allows us to compare multiple providers fairly.
How do you make money if the service is free?
In some cases providers pay us a referral fee when a customer signs up through us. We still recommend plans based on fit and value, not on commission.
Why did you start Best Plans Canada?
We saw that many people were overpaying for internet and mobile plans or confused by fine print. The goal is to simplify choices and save people time and money.
